Weekend Snow

So Friday morning Doyle got up and went to work only to find out that his work had been cancelled due to the weather moving in. He got home about 7am and we still had no bad weather to speak of. I had been watching the local news and the snow had begun in Springfield and was going to get to us at some point. Finally around mid-morning it began to snow and just kept snowing. We had gone to Willow Springs to help the kids on two separate occasions on Friday and it wasn't really good driving either time. After the second visit we were home to stay about 7pm and the snow kept falling. I was so tired (and cold) that I went to bed about 9pm and when I got up this morning it was to about 8" of snow. It must of snowed most of the night. So Doyle was out bright and early (after making me coffee--thanks, hun) shoveling the front and back porches and beginning the drive. I finally got breakfast ready and while we were eating we heard a tractor coming up the road. Our neighbor was cleaning the county road, and he even cleaned our drive for us. On his second pass, Doyle went out and tried to give him some money for fuel but he refused--he said he was just playing. People like Mr. Crabtree make you appreciate living in a small, rural community. I went out and took several pictures of the beautiful snow and hopefully I'll get them posted later.
