A full day of slots!

Yesterday was quite a day--got up really early (3:45) got ready and drove to Springfield. Met Kurt in his driveway and after getting a large cup of coffee to go, we were off to the casino's. First up was Wyandotte. We arrived about 8 and stayed for about 3 hours. Then we headed back toward Joplin and stopped at the new Bordertown Outpost for maybe an hour. Nothing much going on there. Our last stop was the new Downstream Casino outside of Joplin. It's much larger and nicer than the others. More like a Vegas casino. We played there until leaving for Springfield at about 4pm, so we had a full day of slots. It was fun as usual, no big jackpots won, but still a good day. After spending some time with Holly & the girls I headed for home. A busy and tiring day, but worth it to spend some time with Kurt, Holly, & family and to do one of my favorite "hobbies".

For 2009 I decided I would try and keep this online blog for family and friends to keep up with us. Several things are set to happen in the coming year, including a new grandbaby, yes I'm getting excited. Also I thought this would be a good way for me to track my progress on the resolutions that I will be making in the next week. You know some the same as every year and some new ones too. Also, if your going to be reading this you will have to hear about my favorite things to do, including scrapbooking. I'm telling everyone up front that I might even post some projects for you to see, so prepare yourselves. LOL I'm actually excited to do this, it's something I've thought about doing for awhile, we'll see if I feel the same after doing it for a bit.
